Dr Stellar sent out a MEMO to EVERYONE yesterday stating;
"The Board of Education voted not to consolidate any school at the March 28th meeting. Some people who signed up to speak about consolidation left after the vote and did not address the board, although, the budget development remains.
There were a few comments from some board members about consolidation perhaps coming up again as the budget was developed, although there were no motions to that effect."
He is planning to bring up consolidation again and is encouraging teachers and staff to rally FOR it!!!!! He continues to give them HIS numbers and HIS facts.
We have to stay strong and active in this endeavor. We had about 30-40 people at last night's CC meeting. Where were the 237 people in this group? What if we ALL were there and brought someone with us? We would of had almost 500 people there!!!! (A rough seat count told me that room would have sat about 112 people last night) Dr. Stellar and the CC who want to reduce funding WILL do so, if they do not see MASSIVE community support to do otherwise! PLEASE understand how important your role is in this......we have an obligation to our children. They deserve more than what they are being given financially, and it's OUR money!
We need better community turn outs if we are to be taken seriously.
