To add an event to the Calendar, please follow these steps:
- Create a New Post and type the event information (where and when) in the appropriate category and subcategory (such as Local Events >> Fund-Raising Events).
- Scroll down to the Calendar section below your post.
- The "Calendar event" date is formatted as day, month, and year, such as "1 January 2000" is January 1st, 2000.
- "Hour of event" is what time your event starts, in "military time", so that 1 PM is 13, 3 PM is 15, 6 PM is 18, etc. Minutes are normal, so if an event starts at 6:30 PM, then the hours and minutes of the event would be "18 hours" and "30 minutes".
- "During" is the duration of the event. Since most events are just a day, these events will have "0 Days". However, if it is an event that lasts for more than a day, then you'd type "1" for a two-day event, type "2" for a three-day event, etc. If your event lasts 2 hours, then you'd type "2" in the hours slot, or "3" if the event lasts 3 hours. Minutes work the same as the "hours" slot.
- Click "Preview" to see what your event post will look like. Once you're satisfied with the post, click "Send" to post the event, and it will also be added to the Calendar.
